Orchesis Dance Company

Orchesis Dance Company is an on-campus dance ensemble composed completely of Texas State students of all majors and disciplines. In keeping with the artistic and individual values of the Texas State University Department of Theatre and Dance, Orchesis Dance Company seeks to foster artistic expression, facilitate a sense of comradery among dancers, and to provide students with an opportunity to share their passion for dance with family, friends, colleagues and members of the academic and fine arts communities.

2020-2021 Season

For the 2020-2021 season, we as the staff members want to use the time and resources given to us by the Dance Division to produce an honest and artistically sound body of work. The choreographic styles of the Artistic Staff this year are immensely diverse; an aspect that we believe will allow us to work collaboratively and be successful. We wish to use our time and resources to provide a space for dancers to develop skills that they make take with them after the season ends. Furthermore, we have been working diligently to abide by all the COVID-19 protocols given by Texas State University and the Dance Division to have a safe and healthy season.
