    • January 19-20, 2019 New York Callback Studio 353. Please note that an accompanist will be provided. 
      • Studio 353 is located at 353 West 48th St., 2nd Floor NY, NY 10036. 
        • 9-9:50 am- Program overview
        • 10-11:20 am- Learn the dance combination 
        • 11:30 am - 6:30 pm - Starting auditions
      • New York Open Call- Live Prescreens-Combines January 18th at Chelsea Studios. Students must be available on either January 19th or 20th for a callback. Sign up is first come, first serve.
    • February 3-6, 2019 Chicago Unified Auditions: Joffrey Ballet and Palmer House (at The Joffrey Ballet February 3, at the Palmer House Hilton February 4,5, and 6). 

      Please be aware that you will be required to attend the program overview with faculty and dance call.

      February 3-Joffrey Ballet

       4:00-4:40 p.m. Program overview at Joffery

      4:50 – 6:20 p.m. Learn the dance combination at Joffery

      6:30 - 10:00 p.m. You will be placed into smaller dance groups to dance the combo at Joffery.

      February 4-6- Palmer House Hilton  Please note that an accompanist will NOT be provided. Please bring a device to play your pre-recorded tracks. 

      9 a.m. - TBA Auditions

    • On-campus callbacks - January 26-27, 2019 (Applicants should be available to attend a master class on the 26th even if their audition day is the 27th.)

      On-campus callback - February 16-17, 2019 (Applicants should be available to attend a master class on the 16th even if their audition day is the 17th.)

VOCAL REQUIREMENT

You need to prepare two contrasting songs – one traditional musical theatre song, and one contemporary. Each song must be no longer than 32 bars. Please have a third, "Pop Rock" 16-bar cut (you may not be asked to sing it). 

ACTING REQUIREMENT

• Prepare 2 one-minute contrasting monologues. The faculty panel will decide if you will present your second monologue. Contemporary monologues preferred but not required. 

• Make sure that your selection is appropriate for your age.
• The selection should NOT require dialect, costume or props.

DANCE REQUIREMENT

The dance audition will consist of a dance class ending with a short combination from a Broadway musical demonstrating Ballet and Jazz Technique. 
• Candidates should dress in basic dancewear.
• Women should wear a character shoe or jazz shoe, and leotard with dance tights (If you tap, bring shoes.)
• Men should wear jazz or ballet shoes, a form-fitting solid t-shirt or tank, jazz pant or tights.
• No shorts or bulky, oversized sweat-pants/sweatshirts are permitted. Sneakers are not allowed.
