Maddie Corman has been acting professionally since she was a teenager, appearing in "after school specials" and such classic 80s teen fodder as SEVEN MINUTES IN HEAVEN and John Hughes' SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL . As a young actress, Maddie also began her love affair with theatre and starred in many Off Broadway plays at theaters including the Public, Second Stage, AJT, etc. working with playwrights James Lapine, 

John Guare and Israel Horoviitz and Wendy Wasserstein among others. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Barnard College, Maddie's films include  FORD FAIRLANE, MY NEW GUN, PCU, MR WRONG, SWINGERS, I THINK I DO, MICKEY BLUE EYES, MAID IN MANHATTAN, IRA& ABBY, MORING GLORY,  PEACE LOVE&MISUNDERSTANDING,  tv movies Jenifer and Dear Dumb Diary: the Spring release 5 FLIGHTS UP with Diane Keaton and Morgan Freeman and the soon to be released NAOMI and ELy's NO KISS LIST … TV work includes NURSE JACKIE, PERSON OF INTEREST, CARRIE DIARIES, THE GOOD WIFE, SMASH, DAMAGES,  FRASIER, TRACY TAKES ON,  and LAW & ORDER (all 3!) . She has been a series regular on MR PRESIDENT and ALL AMERICAN GIRL.  This September Maddie will play Sophie on the new DIRECTV series ALMOST THERE…. Maddie was also the casting director for the series.   After taking time away from theatre to start a family with husband director/producer  Jace Alexander, Maddie returned to the stage and created the role of HOLLY in the award winning off-Broadway premiere of Geoffrey Nauffts' NEXT FALL for Naked Angels… the play was a huge success and transferred to Broadway where Maddie made her Broadway debut! NEXT FALL was nominated for the TONY for best play. Since then, Maddie has appeared  on Broadway in William Inge's  PICNIC at the Roundabout directed by Sam Gold and   in numerous Off Broadway plays  including FLIGHT, Nora and Delia Ephron's LOVE LOSS and WHAT I WORE,  Richard Greenberg's BABYLON LINE (at NY stage and Film) directed by Terry Kinney and  the Obie award winning production of Branden Jacobs- Jenkins APPROPRIATE at Signature Theatre. Maddie lives in Westchester with her husband, their 3 cool kids, an old cat and an odd dog.
