Nick Lawson hails from Santa Cruz, CA. He received his BFA from Chapman University in Orange County, CA and his MFA from the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in Montgomery, Al. As a performer, Nick has performed theatre on both coasts, specializing in Shakespeare. Some credits include: Bassanio (Merchant Of Venice) Classic Theatre; Zach (Chorus Line) Connecticut Rep; Autolycus (Winter’s Tale) Austin Shakespeare; Romeo (Romeo & Juliet); Touchstone (As You Like It) Don John (Much Ado about Nothing); Lysander/Flute (Midsummer Night’s Dream) Feste (Twelfth Night). On screen, he has been featured in As The World Turns, and stars in the web series the ‘Bar’… (thebarseries.com). Nick was also a founding member of the acclaimed Bama Theatre Company and had the opportunity to choreograph the violence for their productions of Hamlet and Twelfth Night. Since moving to Texas, Nick has staged fights for several productions including Little Mother with Twin Alchemy Collective and Macbeth at City Theatre (B. Iden Payne Award Nomination). As a teacher, Nick has dabbled in Chekhov and Shakespeare as an adjunct professor at Montclair State University, stage combat for high school students in Austin (Austin Shakespeare), and improv and theatre to elementary and middle schools throughout the country.
