Faculty
The Theatre faculty continues to earn both national and international acclaim. In recent years, faculty have had their designs displayed at the Prague Quadrennial, won an international playwriting competition in Belgium, and had their plays produced in New York. Faculty members have performed on Broadway and worked at the Kennedy Center, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Utah Shakespearean Festival, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Zachary Scott Theatre, Alliance Theatre, Asolo Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Austin Lyric Opera, Clarence Brown Theatre, Los Angeles’s Colony Theatre, and New York’s Ping Chong and Company.
Faculty have also been active in scholarly endeavors, as they have been featured speakers at national conference, and their articles have graced the cover of American Theatre on multiple occasions and appeared in journals such as TDR, The Journal of American Drama and Theatre, and Essays on Voice and Speech. Faculty authored books include Stoppard’s Theatre: Finding Order amid Chaos, Tom Stoppard’s Arcadia, and Romulus Linney: Maverick of the American Theatre. Multiple books on Shakespeare are also being written.
